NTBHL U15 Xtreme Team going to the National Championships in Edmonton.
The tournament starts on Thursday July 28th and runs to Sunday July 31st. Above is the photo taken at their final practice with the guys wearing their newly designed jerseys. There are approximately 60 family members including players travelling to Edmonton.
Players from the NTBHL U15 Xtreme Team who won last year’s Provincials in Georgetown held their final practice in preparation for Nationals in Edmonton next week.
It has been a year long wait for this group of young athletes who last summer earned their right to represent Ontario at a National Championship. Most of the young men have played ball hockey together since they were mini tykes (3 years old) which makes this even more rewarding for them as a group.
The guys started the New Year with committing to something new in the way of fitness; Margo Gandy from 4everfit developed and introduced a personal class for the guys. Spin and Joga became part of their weekly routine at 4everfit with Samantha Caughey leading the way with spin class and Liz Pollock teaching the guys Joga.
We also couldn’t forget to mention the healthy snacks and smoothies available afterwards at the Modern Market. Support from the community was a valuable lesson for these young athletes and we couldn’t thank these ladies enough for helping them to achieve their goals.
Thanks to all those in our community that attended our golf tournament, who purchased McGregor Meat or donated money for these young men to go to Edmonton.
To all the parents, grandparents, and family members that gave up countless hours in fundraising and making sure these guys were at fitness and practices, thank you!
