JUNIOR PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONS!!

Congrats to Clay Birkett and coaching staff of Brent Sallows, Doug Livingston, Brad Johnson and Ted Blowes for leading the NTBHL Junior Xtreme team to the Provincial Championship. The team faced some tough competition throughout the event but always found a way to come out on top. In round robin play they defeated Kitchener 8-1, Withrow Park 2-1, Vaughan 7-0 and tied Oakville 2-2. They faced a very good Withrow Park team in the finals (a repeat of the 2015 U-17 National Championship Gold Medal game) and came away with a hard fought 3-1 victory. There was no score till the last few seconds of the 1st period when the Xtreme got on the scoreboard. The team will now represent Ontario at the U19 National Championships in 2017.
